"I joined DLR Group as an electrical engineer. A few years later a lighting design team was formed. The lighting team leader felt my skills would benefit that team, and it was made clear that it was an ask, and my decision would be respected either way. I was able to talk to the new team members as well as the colleagues on my existing team. Ultimately, I was empowered to make the decision that was best for me, and I joined the lighting team. That’s how this place works."
