Recently, the California State Commission on Peace Officer Training and Standards awarded the Golden West College Regional Criminal Justice Training Center with the award of Organizational Training Excellence. A significant contributing factor in receiving this recognition was the completion of the all new facilities to include state-of-the-art classrooms, technologically advanced force option simulation lab, a large specially designed arrest and control room, lifetime fitness lab, student/staff locker rooms and showers, a large multifaceted scenario village and Center administrative offices. The Center was a design/build project completed in record time. Not only is the Center's design pleasing to the eye, more importantly, it is operationally an excellent facility. One of the key team members was the DLR Group. Working on this project alongside the folks from DLR they have earned my deepest respect. Without any reservation I would highly recommend they be given positive consideration for any future projects.”
