Nestled in the densely populated Qiantan International Business District of Shanghai, the Huili School is a bilingual private school aimed to help students develop a deep understanding of Chinese culture and the English language. Inspired by Wellington College in England, it combines western and eastern culture into a curriculum that offers a world-class educational experience for Chinese students, giving them the skills needed to compete in a global economy.
Huili School adopts a house-based teaching model, which assigns students to one of four houses where they are supported by tutors and a headmaster. Our innovative and vertically-driven design provides spaces for both house and school-wide collaboration, with emphasis on STEAM and next-generation learning through its classroom, workshop, and studio spaces. This fosters a close-knit community and stimulates a sense of belonging while encouraging informal meetings, gatherings, and mentoring amongst teachers and students.
