Concepted on the molecular tetrahedral structure of silicon; the newest destination in the valley is framed around the connections of work, life, technology, and nature. Developed by T2 Hospitality and situated in the middle of Silicon Valley in Sunnyvale, this unique dual brand hotel is comprised of Tetra, a Marriott Autograph Collection, and the AC Hotel Silicon Valley. The property offers a place to recharge from the world’s high-tech hub. Our design blurs the lines between the inside and out with a series of outdoor spaces that complement the buzz of socially centric lobbies and food and beverage areas within.
The hotels share a covered open space and a third-level podium deck that each serve as outdoor dining and lounge areas. At street level, a communal garden and lounge featuring large scale public art serves as an amenity to the surrounding community and visiting hotel guests. The two, 8-story hotel towers incorporate a refined, clean, and contemporary architectural vocabulary. Their design employs a warm and balanced palette of materials – neutral colored plaster, rusticated steel, galvanized and painted metal accents – break up building architecture and enhance the pedestrian experience around the base of the building. Articulation, detail enhancement, and expansive windows at the street level infuses daylight into the public spaces and positively contributes to the active urban fabric of the Moffett Park district.
